Chocolate Nut Acorn

Festive, Fun, Funky, Flavorful - Chocolate Nut Acorns.
These are healthy and have nut butter for protein - these will definitely satisfy.
Add pistachio or other nut to the end for the top of the acorn - and for nut flavor. 
Add shredded unsweetened coconut for snow!

Ingredients
  

Chocolate Acorn

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted microwave 30 sec, or double boiler
  • 1 1/3 cups almond flour
  • 2 pinches sea salt or himalayan salt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder

Chocolate top

  • 2 oz. chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

NUTS - second dip

  • 1/4 cup pistachios chopped finely

Decorate

  • unsweetened shredded coconut
  • pretzel for stem of acorn if you like

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Chocolate Acorn ingredients together. Create ovals - make 16 or 20 smaller ovals.
  • Make the melted chocolate. dip one end in chocolate then dip in pistachos or other nuts to create the top of the acorn.
  • Place on serving platter and add shredded coconut as snow. You can pick some evergreen small branches and add to platter to decorate.
  • Or store in fridge or freezer in an air-tight container.
